THE IMPROVABLES WILL KEEP YOU LAUGHING

THE IMPROVABLES WELL RECEIVED AT FRIENDSHIP VILLAGE
Sun Lakes Community Theatre’s comedy improv troupe played for residents at Friendship Village, in Tempe, and the retirement community members were left wanting more. A majority of the audience had never been to an improv performance before and found the comedic antics to be quite entertaining. “I haven’t laughed this hard in a long time,” said one audience member. Activities Coordinator, Kathleen Ross said she heard from many of the residents that they wanted the group to return to do a longer show. In response, The ImproVables director, Phyllis Novy, has booked a return date for October 26, 2023.
The ImproVables perform a variety of “games” that are completely unrehearsed. Each show is unique because the audience supplies suggestions for most of the games. Members of the group said that the Friendship Village audience was particularly fun to perform for because they had great ideas on which to build. The troupe is delighted to have been invited back for later this year.
