Kate King-Turner, President
President Kate King-Turner draws on an extensive executive background in managing 501(c)(3) organizations. Now retired, she leverages her administrative leadership on the Greater Sun Lakes Community Foundation Board and as a versatile performer, director, and actor with the ImproVables comedy troupe. Her career uniquely blended high-level nonprofit strategy with a deep passion for the performing arts.
Nancy Patterson, Vice President
Nancy Patterson is a retired “jack of all trades” who balances public service with local arts. She’s been a National Park Ranger, Registered Dietitian, Real Estate Broker and River Guide. Here in Sun Lakes she helps where she can and enjoys the Arts. Citrus Picking time of year is a favorite, with her wonderful team, to donate Sun Lakes citrus to St. Mary’s Food Bank. She’s a native Arizonan and remembers long ago when she went to desert parties out in the middle of nowhere—Shea and Scottsdale Road.
Barry Berger, Director
Barry Berger built a 40-year career in the lighting industry, including 34 years as the Manager of the Lighting Department for L.B. Electric Supply in NYC. Now retired, he serves as SLCT’s primary production photographer and Play Reading Committee Liaison. A seasoned performer, Barry has shared his talents on the SLCT stage in four performances a year of SLCT’s comedy improv group, The ImproVables, plus local senior centers visits and co-shows with Chandler-Gilbert Community College’s Off The Cuff improv group (average 6 times a year).
Anna McCauley, Secretary
Anna McCauley is a retired career educator with expertise in high-level administration and compliance. She previously served as Assistant Superintendent of Accountability and Student Information, overseeing state and federal reporting. Her extensive background as a district director, high school principal, and English teacher brings a structured, analytical approach to the board’s governance and record-keeping.
Herman Young, Director
Herman Young is a retired Navy Medical Corpsman with 48 years of experience as a surgical assistant and educator, including serving as the Director of Surgical Technology at the East Valley Institute of Technology. Transitioning from medicine to the arts, he is now a professional entertainer and the owner of his own entertainment company. A versatile performer, Herman is also a member of the ImproVables comedy troupe.
MJ Clement, Technology Liaison
MJ Clementis a skilled project manager who oversees the critical “behind-the-scenes” infrastructure. She manages SLCT’s lighting, sound, and digital systems for all productions, ensuring that the technical execution of each show matches the high quality of the performances on stage. Additionally, MJ is the ADA Coordinator for Sun Lakes Community Theatre.
Brian Haynie, Webmaster
Brian Haynie maintains the theatre’s digital presence, managing the official website, YouTube channel, and online payment systems. A dedicated community leader, he also serves as the Vice President of the Greater Sun Lakes Community Foundation Board, supporting health, education, and culture for local seniors.

Cindi Decker, Treasurer
Cindi Decker manages SLCT’s financial health, overseeing reporting, budgeting, and 501(c)(3) tax compliance. A long-standing board member, she also leads the organization’s grant applications, securing vital funding from organizations like the Arizona Commission on the Arts to support community productions.
Greg Posniak, Assistant Treasurer
Greg Posniak is a retired insurance professional with a 54-year career as a property casualty underwriter. A former President of the Madison Jewish Center in Brooklyn, he now brings his dignified leadership and analytical skills to SLCT’s financial team while also performing in stage productions.
John Zoeller, Ticket Sales
John Zoeller is a retired chemical engineer who applies his analytical expertise to streamline SLCT’s operations. After initially volunteering at the sales table, he quickly expanded into technical web support and has since served the Board as Vice President and Secretary. Today, he manages ticket sales, ensuring a seamless box office experience for the community.
